As far as the 8 speed, on the Charger V6 motor week was able to get a better 0-60 time at the track. However, I wonder if, like the Mercedes platform the D is based on, if we would loose the option for a V8 if they put the 8 speed in it. Personally I'd rather have the V8 at this price point...

 

the V8 will get the 8 speed(8hp70) in 2014

the v6 will get the 8 speed(8hp45) in 2014


2013 will be a shorter production run with the 2014's going into production in may. 2013(<-----yes...you read tha right)

 

Price: Dealer invoice minus $750. Price for 2013's did increase by nearly $1000 overall, but that is on the specs I ordered. That may vary if you buy a Crew or Citadel with fewer options. I ordered every option with the exception of block heater and 2nd row full center console (need space for the kidlets to get to 3rd row).

Scotttina11heat, do you know of any other updates to 2014? I'm only aware of the 8 speed tranny, and larger 8.3" LCD UConnect system.

 

yeah...front and rear facia changes...LED DRLs and rear brake lights depending on which model of durango you purchase. Theres some other tweaks....Its the mid-cycle refresh for the Grand Cherokee/Durango....but will be the last for the Durango as it ends production in 2015.

 

did you notice if the MSRP went up from 2012 to 2013?

 

the jeeps are up a tad...I would guess the durangos are as well. Not seen any pricing on the Durango though

Just got notification from Dodge that my 2013 Citadel is built and is in shipment. Says 2 weeks for delivery. Hope that's realistic!

 

Congrats on getting the one you want, even though you have too wait, now is the time to start getting some mods together and ready for install when it gets here.
