Wheel Balancing issues.
I have been noticing a trend with the 20" wheels. There seems to be an issue with the Balance of the wheels. I have the 18" wheels and had them rebalanced after the 500 mile "break in" and I have not had issues since.
How many of you have the 20 " wheels and have on going issues?
How many of you have 18" wheels and have ongoing issues?
How many of you have aftermarket 20" or larger wheels and have issues. If you have aftermarket wheels did you have ongoing issues with the factory wheels?
I am curious if there is actually issues with the 20" wheels.

20" wheels have been around for years with no increase of thread activity related to balancing. With that said, the vehicles designed for 20s usually have some sidewall. Vehicles that came with 15s or 17s and folks change them to 20s end up with rubberbands and no sidewalls. Thus, pot holes, bumps, etc certainly could lead to more balance issues due to no/less rubber and sidewall at play.
My factory 20" wheels were just balanced at 900 miles. Dealer tech claimed he couldn't feel any vibrations. I had to push for the shop Foreman to drive with me to approve the rebalance. He later admitted that two of them weren't balanced correctly. I haven't driven the D enough to say it's been fixed yet.
