Guys i have a tick coming from the 2011 3.6 engine sometimes at idle in the driveway. Is this normal? Engine oil is fine and oil pressure is fine...

thanks

is it the same type of tick that the 4.7s in the first gens have on a cold start? if so its most likely just the hydrualic lash adjusters are not pumped up yet and it should go away rather quickly (a minute or so), if it takes too long the anti drainback valve in your oil filter could be bad

I have about 24,000 miles on mine and had it to the dealer several times for oil and other things and asked them everytime and they even started another 3.6L on the lot and that ticked too... Its a little annoying but I am starting to deal with it.

HAving this issue on my R/T. Cold start ticking, much more pronounced when in reverse. Goes away after maybe a minute. Almost sounds like an exhaust header leak. So this happens with a lot with 5.7 hemi's? Dealer had it for a couple days, did not acknowledge any problem
