Default Debadging

I want to debadge my truck, but have never done it before and don't want to scratch the paint. Any suggestions on what to do, what I'll need, etc?

20lb test fishing line, Goof off and wax. Cut about 2 ft of fishing line (wear gloves) wrap each end around your hands put the line between the body and the badge start pulling. Once the badge is off use goof off to remove adhesive. Then wax where the badge was. If you have a heat gun or real good hair dryer it makes the process easier. WA LA badge is off with no scratches or gouges in the paint.

What he said. I like using a heat gun or at least have your car sit in the sun on a hot day before you do it.

Just finished my 2011 Citadel earlier today, took about 30 minutes. A credit card (it's plastic so it won't scratch your paint) and some 3M adhesive remover. Just take the credit card to go behind the letters and pry them away from the body. Take a micro fiber cloth and soak a spot with the 3M adhesive remover, the 3M stuff softens the excess glue left behind so you can scrap it off with your finger nail. Once you get the builk of it off take the micro fiber towel and put some more 3M adhesive remover in a clean spot and get the remaining residue off. I've done my past 5 vehicles this way with no problems/scratches.

Pics of my Citadel after the debadging.

The sooner you do it, the easier it seems to be to remove everything. I usually do it within the first few days, but I really dislike decals.
