Default What about bolting this into your D?

Brand new 2012 6.4L (392) HEMI for $6,500, with transmission and computer available as well.

I'm wondering if the current motor and transmission mounts would be even close?

Fun to think about. Maybe SINESTERRT should once again be the first to dive in!

I was looking at the same motor the other day, but I want it for my JKU. The 3.6 v6 in my wife's D feels like a v8 compared to my wrangler's 3.8 (though the lift and tires don't help).

thats just the motor....it would bolt straight up to the 3.6 merc tranny. Tuning would be the problem until the coding is cracked....if it EVER is.

Was wondering the same thing, but for the money I think I would rather bolt on the Edelbrock e-force to the 5.7, seems like it would be a lot easier and you can get a power train warranty from Edelbrock. But again, not possible if they dont break the code I guess.

Wouldn't you not need to tune it if you got the computer with it though? Wouldn't be s simple plug and play since the Cherokee and Durango have the same chasis? I would think that at most, you would have to get the engine harness and call it a day! Probably wouldn't have to do any splicing either! It'd be like swapping your srt body with a durano body!

yep...engine and entire wiring harness, modules, axles, driveshafts, tq converter etc etc.. it would cost $$$$. I talked to a guy at RDP and he quoted me $50k for a 426 TT swap....LOL. Ill just buy an SRT and have a factory warranty...then wait for tuning and blow it up!
