Default Durango Crew Stereo Questions

Having my local dealer do a search for 2013 Durango Crew. I did a search on here for stereo options but haven't had a lot of luck. Most Crews have the standard 6 speaker system. Is the upgrade to the amped 9 speaker system with the subwoofer worth the extra dollars? If I remember correctly their were some issues with the upgraded systems? Any info on the Durango stereo's would be appreciated.

Power sunroof worth the extra $1000? Not sure the dealer will be able to find one with both options. Thanks in advance.

The stereo is absolutely not worth the money! The only reason I haven't gotten rid of it is the backseat TV that my daughter has fell in love with, and the fact that it will take alot of work and money to get it up to my standards. The sunroof is up to you. It's worth it for me, but I'm a sunroof guy, it was one of the main reason's I traded in my Ram for the D in the first place.

Default I am pretty pleased with the upgraded stereo

I bought a new '12 Crew a few months ago and the stereo is my favorite part of it. Very pleased with the sub and also find that the iPod integration works well, including the voice command system. My son loves the DVD system in back for long trips.

I listen to just about everything and think it's the best stock system I have heard to date. Previous car was an '02 Maxima with the Bose system, and frankly the D blows it away.

IMO the stock "upgraded" radio is not worth it. i have it and i have replaced most of the items with better aftermarket ones.

if you wait a bit Idatalink is releasing a product that will be plug and play with a kenwood head unit that retains ALL factory functions, u-connect, sat radio, bu cam...

I've got the alpine 430 unit and can't wait for the Kenwood unit. The premium alpine system sounds worse than my other vehicle's $150 head unit. Very disappointing. I think it's much more the head unit's fault than anything. The equalizer is horrible.

I am working with Idatalink direct on the GM version now.
Next up with be for our Uconnect

This will be the best option for our conversions to an aftermarket radio

I will post details as soon as I get more info for you guys.

Dealer found us a 2013 Crew with standard stereo, sunroof, black leather interior. Red in color. Suppose to arrive tomorrow, Thursday. Thanks for the input and I'll keep watching for stereo upgrades from you guys.
