Default Something you probably didn't know about your 3rd Gen. Durango

Hey Guys,

Finally picked up my new ride last week and loving it. I upgraded from a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS 4WD. It's a difference of night and day.... but I will say this, if it wasn't for having a Mitsu Outlander, then I never would have known what this cut box in my Durango is for:

Front Center Console (Top Compartment Open):

Let me give you a hint:

Now you don't have a cumbersome box of kleenex sliding around your vehicle cabin and under the seats:

For those that may not know, Mitsubishi and Chrysler have years of history of working together. Even my Outlander's TPMS Tire Sensors were Chrysler made. Looks like Chrysler borrowed some ideas too.

Off topic, here is some bad pics of my ride. Taken in low light in my garage...

Captain's Chairs 2nd row with Center Console, feels like the lap of luxury in the 2nd row:

Maximum steel it is! I originally wanted Mineral Grey... but this was what the dealer could get me with all the options I wanted. It's basically got all the options that an R/T can have except for the Technology Package.

No problem! When I traded in my Outlander I left half a pack of Kleenex in the center console so the next owner would know what it was for.

The only downside to utilizing this hidden "feature" is that the travel-sized kleenex packs are more expensive for what you get.
