Default New Fob Replacement at Dealer...$$$

I was working in my warehouse yesterday and when I went to leave, my keys were nowhere to be found. There is a chance that they may have been taken too, anyway was at the dealership this morning getting a replacement. I took them my 2nd. key fob and explained my concern about the missing one, they re-programmed my 2nd. fob and added a new one as well. So....if by long shot I find the old one, it probably will not work.

At this point I've spent several hours looking for the old one and tired of looking.

Both fobs seem to be working fine for now, hope it continues, here is a break down of the charges, Parts 224.81( includes extra key in Fob) Labor 50.00 Misc. Charges 4.00, Tax 16.02 Grand Total - 294.83. Don't lose your key fob!

I already tried this with the Audi. I have a good friend that runs the service dept. at the Audi store, and it still cost me $200. My wife found the other one 6 months later......

Cars are the worst investment ever. You spend a ton to buy them, you spend a ton to maintain them, and you can spend a ton to mod them. Then they still disappear from under you.
But we still love it!
