Default cheap stubby antenna that fits

I broke off my antenna with my bike and need a new antenna. I tried several from the local auto parts store and they do not fit into the screw hole (I removed what was left of the old screw) The threads are all too thick or the bolt too small.

I would rather not spend $70 on the sharkfin, but I cant find a 10-$30 dollar stubby that says its for a 2012 Durango. Ones that specifically say they will fit start at $50.

Any suggestions of which one will work?

Have you tried jc Whitney on line? I saw a few generic ones but I wasn't serious enough to dig deeper. It would me another find if you do, good luck...do you find your reception hampered at all?

Reception without the antenna is horrible.

Yea, I do know a thing or two about Durangos.

I have ran 3 different ones from Bimmian over the years.

The key is to find a $10 Walmart-esque universal that has all of the optional connector adapters in the package. Use the adapter you need, throw the rest away and call it a day. Then keep that adapter for if you ever want to try something else over the years

This should take you to the page with antennas http://www.ebay.com/sch/Antennas-/33...%2520Aspirated

If not then http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Inch-Silve...d0add0&vxp=mtr

There are a few different sizes to choose from and they are cheap. Don't know about the reception they have.

Since I have had my Durango for two months and every morning I would cringe when I heard the antenna hit the garage door, I bought this....

I listen to sat most of the time and can tell you that I have not noticed a difference. I walked into the garage, put a five gallon bucket down, unscrewed the factory antenna, and screwed the new one on. Best money I have spent so far on it. Get it. Well worth it.
