Default V6 Tow Package

does anyone with a v6 and a tow package know if they have a tow/haul button on the dash next to the hazard lights? I don't know of I'm missing it, or if its only on the V8 with the factory tow package...thanks

Default Tow button

I believe my 2012 V6 AWD has the factory tow package. It does not have a tow button. I suspect that in some situations you may want to use the shifter -/+ feature to lock out the top gear.

I have the tow package and V8. The Tow button switches off the Eco mode and overdrive.
I believe that only the V8 has Eco mode so maybe that's why the V6 doesn't have or need the button.

Default Eco mode

No, the V6 has an ECO mode as well. Perhaps they felt that with the lower tow rating the truck didn't need the button.

From: http://www.dodge.com/en/2012/durango...rmance/towing/

"TOW / HAUL SWITCHPush the TOW / HAUL button for improved towing performance during trailer towing, heavy-load hauling or driving in mountainous areas. The TOW / HAUL mode inhibits fifth gear and allows upshifts to fourth during higher speed / lighter load conditions. It is available on HEMI V8-equipped models only."
