Set up my concealed cross bars on the roof rack to mount a rocket box for our 12 hour trip back to Alabama for Christmas so we could use the third row seats. Major disappointed to find that the non-adjustable cross bars did not match up with the mounting points on the rocket box. Then grabbed my soft Thule bag to throw it on the roof, again, disappointed to find that he bars are too close together for the soft bag to fit.

The bars are only 24" apart making them pretty much useless. I'm trying to figure out a solution that will let me add some type of storage shy of going to a hitch mounted solution. Thinking maybe if I put a basket on the roof I can then at least use the soft bag on top of that.

Has anyone found a roof top carrier that works with these bars? Needless to say, we didn't get to use the third row which was just lovely with the three kids.
