Default Holds at 2500 rpm.

Well I should have kept my mouth shut a couple weeks ago when I was talking to someone about my Durango. Knowing the rough start to my Durango ownership, an associate was asking how things were going. I informed him things were problem free for a couple months and the wife an I were finally starting to enjoy the Durango. Im not sure but i have a feeling things might be about to change.

Temperatures have been fluctuating in Alberta over the last couple weeks with the temperature going below or around -25 degrees celsius a couple times. During those -25 periods, I have noticed the Durango has shifted harder even after reaching operating temperature. The other problem is the Durango is holding at 2500rpm for at least 10 seconds before shifting up to a higher gear which is likely the culprit of the hard shifts. This is during normal driving while in the city. I have also noticed while driving at the normal rpm range(1400-1600) the Durango is deciding to shift back down to that 2500 range again leaving me in the higher rpm. There is no incline nor is there an increase in throttle pressure to justify the shift. Anyone else have this issue with their Durango?

Trying to manually shift the Durango doesn't work as it just stay where it is.

No issues on mine but it hasn't been that cold here (-4 C). Just out of curiousity, is yours a 5 or 6 speed?
