I have the same rattle. I think it's the middle tray rattling around between the housing and the lid.

You find the same or any fixes?

Had the same problem on my 2011 D Hemi, It was the hood hinge bolt, Dealer tighten them and noise went away.

Two very similar noise just started on my '11 Crew with 42K miles.
1. Medium clunking sound like the radio is loose in the stack
2. Vibration type noise generally from the right/middle vent (?) area.

Causes proposed here are:
1. Hood hinge bolt
2. Center dash speaker grill
3. E-brake mount
4. windshield washer hose

I'm out of warranty so its going to cost a few buck I suspect. Meanwhile I'll check the Hood Hinge Bolt TSB and hope that is an easily fixed issue.

Default Hood hinge bolt

I had someone move the hood hinge (by rocking it left to right) on the drivers side while I sat in the vehicle. It's the identical noise I am hearing while I'm driving. Tried tightening it my self but it's too deep in the frame that it's hard to get to. So I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to get it tightened. I'll let everyone know what happens. Thanks.

The only annoying noise I hear coming from the inside of the car is the sunglasses holder when I'm bumping my Rockford Fosgate 10". Could definitely use some dynamat there!

I'm also having a rattle. Seems to be in the same area as others described. Around the A pillar, behind the vent somewhere. Really only does it if I'm hard accelerating or cruising at higher speeds (65+). Here's a vid of my Durango making the sound.

Sound familiar to anyone??

I have the driver's side dash rattle that is driving me crazy. I did wire tie the washer hose and also just had the TSB for the driver's side hood hinge bolt completed this morning. The rattle is still there. It sounds like loose screws or something that rattle around when going over rough roads, which are everywhere it seems.

I've also confirmed that it's not the vent cover near the windshield.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Just a long shot. I had a sound like something rolling around. I swore it was in the driver's door cubbyhole but there was nothing in there. This went on for months. I don't know what made me look, but with a bit of difficulty I got the cover off the box under the driver's seat. Guess what? There was a rather large machine screw in there. How and when it moved around was a function of randomness. I'll bet there was a disgruntled assembly line worker that put screws in there just to screw with us. I know you folks seem to hear the noise higher up so doubt this is what you're hearing. But have a look anyway. You'll feel better just because you eliminated it as a source.

Default Thanks

I don't see a box under the driver's seat - just power seat electronics.

I'm working with the general manager at my local dealer and sent him a link to this discussion and the video. Since I had the driver's side hood hinge bolt TSB completed I know it's not that either. It really sounds like a loose screw or something either in the instrument cluster area near the steering column. The 2011 Durango Citadel owner post described it to a "T" and also the video,

Don't about an 11, but it's there on a 13. Move the driver seat all the way forward. Open up up the back door. Move the floor mat out of the way if you have one. Slide your hand forward along the carpet. As your hand slides under the seat you will feel a seam in the carpet. That's the lid of the box. Get your hand or a pry tool under the lip and pop it open.
