2012 R/T 2WD Final Gear Ratio
Hey guys,
It has been awhile since my last post but I wanted to see if you all could shed some light on the about subject.
I really feel like our Durango needs a steeper gear as the stock gear is way to tall for a 6 speed tranny.
Everyone says the R/T has a 3.47 final gear but it doesn't feel like it. First gear runs out damn near over 50 mph. We primarily do city driving below 55 mph and it would do better on gas and much more fun to drive with a lower gear.
Has anyone swamped the ring and pinion for a lower ratio?
Thanks,
Will

Just need a gear / tire recalibrator from jet or hypertech. No lights or codes. This is the same transmission in the ram pickup that I traded for my RT and guess what it would hand my RT it's *** with only 30 more horsepower and also being 250 lbs HEAVIER. The trucks 3.92 gears made a huge difference. Wish I had those gears bit my AWD means it will cost a heck of alot more. One of you RWD guys are going to have to do this mod first.
