Default HyperTech Install for 5.7L Durango

Last night I installed the HyperTech Interceptor and its really a plug and go setup. It took me under 15 minutes to do whole install. Since HyperTech already has an install video in below link I will go over differances for the Durango. Also, I disconnected battery during install to reduce chance of any electrical shock or shorting. This will also help after install so engine will remap itself with tuner to ensure maxium gains with tuner.

For the placement of the controller you must lift fuse box up which is held down by 4 clips. Its easiest if you do two on right then two on left. I layed mine down against hump with wires exiting to the left under all the current wires.

I started with the intake. If you have an aftermarket wire extension like the K&N intake you will no longer need it can connect as seen here.

For the MAP sensor I found that after releasing red tap a simple poke of a screwdriver will release stock plug. You will put flathead in from left to right with little force needed.

Here is my final install pictures. And I and very happy with the unit. Vehicle seems a lot more responsive.

Interesting install display, thanks. The PCM will map itself to the new "tuner" just as fast with or without disconnecting the battery. Most aftermarket offerings recommend the battery disconnect to prevent shocks and shorts, but largely because no matter what the final gain from the mod, the truck will 'feel different' as the mapping reverts to default settings. Most folks will equate a "different feeling" to "more power". Nice sales tool......

Default Great timing for post

Thanks for the write-up on the Interceptor. I should receive and have my K&N CAI and Hypertech Interceptor installed by the end of the week.
My 2013 only has 2000 miles on it but I'm already wanting to get a little more out of my Hemi.
Please continue to post any positive/negative experiences, and I'll do the same.

I went with the DiabloSport InTune thanks to Dennis at DoubleD mods. Simple to use, immediate improvement. I'm currently at the 91 octane tune with only 15% throttle booster and the responsiveness of my D is fantastic. Can't wait to load up with some Sunoco 93 and run the Diablo tune!
