Noise when heater kicks in, how common is this?
I have what-is-hard-to-describe-in-words noise that happens when my Durango (2012, Crew) auto heat switches on. It sounds like the dampener opening up or the heat switching on, but it is definitely an audible squeaking noise. This happens when the Durango is cold, I start driving (with the heat settings set to AUTO), then once the DD warms up enough, the heat will kick in and it'll make said noise.
Is this very "normal" for people's experience? Or are yours completely quiet?
I'm just over 30k, so I want to vet out this issues before 36k hits.
(and what the hell is this thing ---->

My 2012 crew makes no noticeable noises of any kind when the heater warms up, other then you can hear that the blower starts going faster as the engine warms. You should have this looked at and documented that you brought it to your dealer so that if it gets worse out of warranty, you have evidence that you brought it in for the problem DURING warranty.

Hey guys i have a similar prob but mine is that a clicking or engaging sound is heard from the frint of the engine bay when my heat or a/c is on it last for like 30sec and it repeats .(only when the heat or a/c) Are there any DD out there that notices this issue its driving me crazy. Mentally i tune to the noise more than ever to find the prob so i can let the dealer know.U know how they are.
