Default Extended warrenty

Hi all. I'm new to the forum. About a month ago I bought a 2013 Durango Citadel. So far We love it. Really no issues except the alignment which I has been fixed. Anyway I bought a extended warrenty through my dealership but not a dodge extended warrenty. I can cancel the warrenty in 60 days (now about 35 days) and the money will go towards the principle on my loan. My question is how many of you guys bought a extended warrenty for your Durango from the get go? Or are you guys going to buy one when the 3/36 factory warrenty runs out? Thanks in advance.

I got a quote last week from a nearby dealer for the Lifetime Max Care. Dodge website said $3,285. Dealer quote was $2,740, plus $140 to finance the balance interest free after 15% down. I also have a ltr from Dodge offering $150.00 off any plan if I purchase before the end of 12m/12k miles. So I figure I'll go back to the dealer soon and offer them $2,300 and settle at maybe $2,500. BTW there is a lot of discussion about the real value of extended warranties. I held on to my 1st gen D for 130k miles. With all the electronics (seats, sunroof, auto tailgate, etc.) I look at it as prepaying for the repairs.

I got the lifetime, came free with the car. I say free, I'm sure the weaseled in the price somewhere, but they still gave me the best price and the warranty on top of that, so either way I'm happy.

Yup, I got a 5 year, 90k one for like > 2k. I bought my 2012 with 26k on it though (from a Enterprise sale). $100 deductible. Heck man, the keys for this thing cost like $350 each if you ever lose one, and my extended warranty covers key loss.....and we've lost keys in the past

Thanks for the replies. Keep them coming. I just might can my extended warrenty and wait until I get close to the 3/36 expires and go with the dodge care. It doesn't sound all that bad. I would feel a lot better about a mopar type warrenty over some other warrenty which I have.

Bought my Mopar extended Plus warranty when I purchased my truck, 6 year / 60K miles with a zero deductable for $708.00. I dont need the high miles as my 6 year old Tahoe I traded only had 44K miles on the clock. I purchased the extended warranty even on my wifes 2010 Honda Accord, it was so cheap I couldn't pass up the deal.

Also remember that they are pro rated by law. So you can get a refund for what YOU DON'T USE. came in handy when I traded my Ram for my R/T. Had it 4 months and I got $1810 back of the $1900 I paid for it.
