Default Mopar rear view camera / bluetooth

Has anyone else installed a Mopar rear view camera and bluetooth system in your D? The system is a small camera mounted beside the license plate and a different rearview mirror. I just had my dealer install and every time I start the truck it comes on and stays for 30 seconds. You would be surprised how far you can go in that 30 seconds and how annoying that can be at night while driving forward. The display for the camera is in the rearview mirror. Anyone else had this system installed and if so does yours operate the same way? The system is Mopar part 82212544

Just guessing here. Sounds like they forgot to hook up the wire that tells the camera to shut off when the car is taken out of reverse. It may have a default delay of 30 seconds if it doesn't get the signal which is why it stays on. Take it back to them. The world of do it right and do it once ended about 10 years ago.....BTW, if you put the car in reverse, and then put it back in park, does it go off, i.e. park/reverse/park without going into drive.

I did the same set up on my BMW. go into the camera setting to see if you can adjust the shut off time. Mine did it a couple times and them it stop doing it. but try to resset your camera its in the camera setting to see if you can fix it.
