Aftermarket DRL's

Thought I'd give theses a try http://www.superbrightleds.com/morei...-function/928/
Fitment might be an issue. We'll see. What attracted me to them was the dimming feature when the headlights go on. Factory DRL's go off when the headlights come on, as they should. I think that requires relays which the R/T doesn't have. To make the dimming feature work, I have to connect one wire to the positive side of the headlight circuit. I wanted to do this using a fuse doubler http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...mini&FORM=IGRE . I have used these in the past with great success. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to locate the headlight fuse. I looked on the underside of the fuse box lid (good luck with that in the dark), and in the Owner's manual. The only ref I can find to the headlights is cartridge J10, Headlamp Wash Relay Contact. Any of you fellow D'ers know if there is a fuse that I am missing?

Can't wait to see how the install goes. Please post photos!

Just picked them up from the mailbox. First indication is that they protrude farther out than I'd like. Temp just dropped 30 degrees here in Hou so no activity on this for a day or 2. What I think I will do is a test fit install, wire them up, see how they look, and then post photos for a poll. Double-sided golf grip tape will do for the test. Still need someone to weigh in on the fuse.....

Here are 3 photos of the test fit. The most important is the one showing how far out the unit protrudes. Actually it is less bothersome this morning than it was last night. BTW there is a fuse M35, Left Rear Park Lamps that might work for the dimming feature. So whadya all think?

Not a huge fan of aftermarket lighting, but post some pics of them on and we'll see.

I agree they protrude out too much, maybe if you cut them into the lower grille?

IMO you either have to customize the bumper somhow to make them fit and look factory or they look too much like a hack job.

If you truely want DRL's the dealer can turn it on with the headlights. keep in mind that in canada all vehicles have to have drl's so on most vehicles its done with programming now.

Apparently this cannot be done in US models, as I've read in other threads here.

Put LED bulbs in your fogs then drive around w/ just the parking lights on. Thats what I consider my DRL's
