Need to haul lumber - what's my best option?
Hey guys, I'm planning on building a shed this spring but before I can go too crazy, I need to get the foundation built. In order to do that, I need to haul two 14' and two 10' lengths of 4x4 in the Durango. I plan on folding all of the passenger-side seats down flat, but even if the 14' lengths reach the dash, they're still going to stick ~4 feet out the back of the D. Anyone see any issues with doing this?
I saw the d-ring tie downs in the cargo area and will use them, but is there an easy way to tie the tailgate down so it's not just flopping in the breeze? I didn't see anything that obviously looked like a good place for a tie down attachment on the liftgate. I have to drive a little more than 10 miles to get home from the lumber yard and it's all 4 lane highway, so I can go slow without ticking off too many people, but I just want to make sure everything is secure.
Thanks!

14 is way too big. I hauled a few 12' section of drop ceiling track in mine with all seats down and they still had to ride out the pass window about 1.5 foot.
Find a buddy with a truck. The durango has lots of room, but not 14' 4x4 room

You can rent a 6'x12' utility trailer from U-Haul for an entire day for about $35. No worrying about scratching up your Durango's interior.
