Default 2013 Crew annoying rattle

Our overhead console has a very annoying rattle inside it. It's not the sunglass holder and when we push against the console it stops until we let go. I'm guessing it's a electrical wire of some type inside that's loose.

Also, when we close the front passenger door it sounds real "tinny", not solid at all like a 35k vehicle should sound. The other three doors aren't quite as bad but still don't have the nice solid sound to them.

Anyone experience either of these? Having them checked out at the next oil change. Thanks.

Yeah I would definitely bring that up at your next service interval. I too have noticed a rattle in the headliner over the second row. At first I thought it was the sun roof shade but it makes noises when I hit bumps in the road regardless of the sun roof shade being slid back or closed.

Mncruiser,

It can be difficult to locate rattles in a vehicle. If you are having a hard time pin pointing exactly where it is coming from definitely inquire about it with your servicing dealer as suggested by CMil & Mikeh.

Keep us posted on the outcome.

Mine rattled as well, but that is because I have 2 12s behind the third row seat.
What I did with mine to stop the rattle was take it down and put some sound deadener between the plastic of the sunglass holder and the console (this makes it a tighter fit and no more plastic on plastic to cause rattles). Once you get the console down, you can take up or use strips of sound deadener on wires as well.

I had a rattle for a little while on my '13 Crew in the overhead console, too, but it appears to have gone away. If it sprouts back up, I'll make mention of it at the dealer when it goes in for an oil change.
