Default Towing Travel Trailer?????

Good Morning

I have a 2012 Crew with the 3.6. I was wondering if anyone has pulled a small travel trailer (less than 20') with the same durango and if so did you have to add anything before towing like engine/oil cooler, different springs or shocks?

I was thinking of getting a small travel trailer but would like to know if I needed to add anything first.

Thanks

David

How much weight are you talking about towing? That really is the key piece of information you will need to have in order to get the correct responses to your inquiry.

Also do you have the tow package? That will also determine what you need. I have the 5.7 with tow package and had to get an electric brake controller for the trailer. I towed a 18 foot with no problems and averaged 11 mpg.

No towing package but I did put a class 4 hitch on it to pull my boat with. My boat weighs in around 2,000 lb and it pulls it great.

I know I would have to get a break controller, perhaps engine/oil cooler, different wiring setup for the trailer. I would also think I would have to have heavy duty shocks or springs...not sure about that part.
