Default Colgan Original Bra

Being I'm on the highway to and from work, I ordered this a couple of weeks ago to protect my ride. I had one of these several years ago and was really happy with it. I know some people can't stand them but figured I'd share how it came out in case anyone was curious about them.

Looks Good fitment is real nice...I am just not a fan of what damage they can do to the paint.

I had leased a new BMW back in 03 and had one of these on it for the whole time I owned it. .. an hour commute each way back then. Of course I cleaned underneath it religiously. The underneath of these bras it lined with felt so I can honestly say agreed 50000 miles, not one wear mark. I have no affiliation with them just had a good experience.

Yeah. I always heard that they trap dust underneath them causing a lot of micro scratches. I definitely do not want to have to try and paint correct that front fascia.

At the same time, I am dreading that first stone that comes flying back. I was hoping to find a good price on a clear bra.

But if you are not seeing damage Phoneguy, I do like how this fits. Do you mind if I ask about how much?

Clear bra is the way to go if you want front end protection imo, I've seen bra's do as much damage as the rock chips people try to prevent with them.

It was $144 from auto anything. I looked into the clearshield but it was $500 installed. The one thing I liked about this one on this model was it has a mesh screen over the grill so I won't get many bugs or rocks hitting my radiator.
Most of the issues I hear are from cheap bras or people who never take them off even when cleaning their vehicle. Here in the heat of Florida, I've heard of the clearshield peeling up but it is very durable and invisible.

Definately a much more affordable option for sure, as long as your happy with it bro. Just keep an eye on it wearing into the clear!!

Looks good man, yeah Id like some protection also, but I think although you are protecting the beauty, it takes away from look of the truck. Just my opinion though. $500 for clear is insane, thats like the Mopar nerf bars for the R/T's, insane prices so such a basic mod.
