Newbie in Maryland
Greetings D fans from the Free State.
I picked up a bone stock 2012 Crew down in South Pittsburg TN just outside Chattanooga back in April. So far so good, and I am pleasently surprised.
This is only the second Mopar for me in over 40 years of driving; I just never gave them much of a look; always been a Blue Oval guy. Back in February I read something on Edmund's saying that the Durango was equal to anything in its class and rated it very highly, and then I checked the April 2012 Consumers' Report April edition (for 2011 models) which agreed and actually recommended it -- a rare event for those guys.
The wife and I took a test drive at the local Dodge store and were impressed. A couple of days later the 2013 Consumers' Report came out for the 2012 models and the evaluation was even better than for the 2011 models. So I sold the '06 Pacifica, started scouring various used car sites and ended up in South Pittsburg, TN.
Heading home from Tennessee on the freeways I cruised at 75-80 all the way and was impressed with the 23.3MPG that 6-banger gave me. (The on-board computer said 25.2mpg but using pen and paper I got the more accurate 23.3). The car was as comfortable as a sedan, very stable, no trace of being top heavy, easy to wheel around and with enough (yeah, right!) power to easily cruise all day at 80-plus, if needed.
I'm enjoying reading and seeing all the Ds here and am really impressed with what you guys are doing with them. You got some killer iron here. About the only mods my wallet will allow are running boards and grille inserts. Any suggestions regarding lighted running boards and grille inserts would be appreciated. I've checked out all the usual suspects but outside input would be valuable.
Keep up the good work!

Welcome FHM!, Im sorry to say I can not help you in the running board market as I will never have them. I did just see these front grill inserts that give the appearance of billet grills, check Autoanything.com I believe I seen them on that site and they have been good to me and a lot of other people on this forum. Go Dodge !
