BTW not sure if you notice in the pics but I've been curious as to painting my exhaust tips black to match the theme of the truck so I taped everything off and did 5-6 coats of plastidip to test out the look and not only am I pleased with the look but after over a week the finish is holding up great...just thought I would share!

I like it, yeah didnt notice from pic, love the idea. Yeah my only pieces left would be the tips and the badging at the back to get the silver/chrome gone. I dont have time for any type of mod like that. You think the heat withe the pastic dip will survive, or you only used plastic dip so you can take off if you didnt like?

Finny take your badges off and paint them satin Black. As for the plastic dip holding up it may or may not.
As for the Lamin X the cops must be non existent or lenient because I would get busted almost immediately in my area of NJ.

Fin do a Google search tons of guys use it for badges, I tried it both to see if I liked it as well as how it would hold up and so far so good...I saw a number of guys on various forums who did the tips with great success! Good luck !

So with the hair dryer ( not heat gun at casa)and fishing line, i would still be able to take them off and reuse, or you use something else to place them back on?

From what I see on Google lots of guys use painters tape and do badges right on the vehicle... its what I did with my old dodge grille emblem last year. Check out Google or even YouTube there are plenty of videos!
