Default Any idea what this sound may be?

Hi,
Ive had my 13 R/T for about two months now(1200 miles on it), its AWD w/ the V8 and I notice when I back out of my garage, there is a slight rubbing or groaning sound coming from the under the vehicle w/ no brakes applied. When I go forward I do not hear it. Anyone else notice this or know about any known issues? Thanks!

Same issue here, 11 Citadel. Mine sounds RPM related, but it doesn't happen 100% of the time. I haven't gone through them yet, but may want to peek through WK2 TSBs and see if you find anything: http://wk2jeeps.com/wk2_tsb.htm

I get weird grinding noises now and again, particularly on tight slow turns. Someone recently posted an update that fixes an issue with the hill hold when pointed uphill and making a tight turn- exactly one of my scenarios. So I tried turning off hill hold and sure enough the problem stopped. But I like hill hold, so I'll go for the update in a few weeks hen I go in for service.

How long do you hear the sound?

My go to for this kind of issue is put her up on 4 jacks and have an assistant place the car in reverse and try to pinpoint the sound. Does it happen consistently? Does it go away after a few seconds or when you reach a certain mph. Listen to your transfer case with an automotive stethoscope. Front /Rear brakes still biting? Hard to tell but when you get it in the air it makes it a heck of alot easier to pinpoint without getting run over!
