Exclamation A/C Issues

My 2011 Crew model (58K miles, digital controls, front/rear a/c) has A/C issues. it works pretty good when driving but when idling or sitting at a light the a/c stops blowing cold. it was suggested that the condenser fan is bad but it is spinning when the a/c is turned on. i am unsure if the fan is multi-speed but with 85 degree days and 85% humidity, we are dying the durango.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I googled the symptoms and it would seem that the low pressure cut out switch may be functioning as designed. When the revs increase as you are driving, the pressure increases and the switch lets the system turn back on. But that leads to the question of why the pressure is dropping. Seems your D is too young to have developed a leak. Looks like a trip to the dealer or a well-recommended a/c shop is in order.
