Took my 2012 to the dealer yesterday and was told there are no updates for my radio. Mine has 2.126, grace notes 3265 and maps data 4.2.1. I don't quite understand that.

Also interesting: I was having a problem with the lift gate. After it opened, it would lower a few inches and have to be closed manually. I figured it was a bad strut or some part. They said it was a software issue and flashed some component. Seems to have fixed it. I never would have suspect software for that problem.

 

I had my lift strut replaced(it failed) and indeed it is software controlled for safety reasons as well as the interface with the lighting system.

Yes, I thought maybe the pinch sensors or something.
Although mentioning safety- three heads got banged on the gate when it lowered!

 

Well the computer flash didn't fix the falling lift gate. They will try again on Monday.

 

They need to replace the strut and reprogram
It is the simplest thing to do.

ido..... I see you loaded Grace Notes 5411, but I see 5412 and 5414 are available also with the same release dates, why did you go with 5411? I currently have 4118 and was thinking about doing this update also. Just FYI, I loaded 2.184 yesterday (used a DVD+R), up from version 2.136, no problems with it so far.
