I found this in a similar thread when I did a search
RTFM. Pg 511,*Fuel*Requirements 5.7l Engine:*"The manufacturer recommends the use of 89 octane for optimum performance. The use of premium gasoline is not recommended, as it will not provide any benefit over regular gasoline in these engines." Gotrpm posted it
Yeah, that's why I always ran mid grade but since I posted this thread we've been through two tanks of premium and at least for now, it seems to like that better. I thought about trying a tank of regular just to see what that felt like.
I have the unique situation of not having to pay for gas (I have this wonderful magic card provided by my employer for use for all business and personal gas) so I really don't even normally look at the prices.
I have to say I had to run a tankful of regular (station out of premium) and It was really a big difference with the Hypertech installed. So Now I have filled up completely with a full tank of shell super and it feels back to normal

In Buffalo, a few Sunoco station and a local company called NOCO, there are also a few stations across the ditch (in Canada) that carry it but in Canada in the cheap stuff is well over $6.00 a gallon, no ethanol is almost $9.00.
Been running 89 octane with no ethanol, my 5.7 seems to perform very well gets increased milage and the engine seems much more aggressive.
I think that's the best route, to find non-ethanol gas. In the winter you can find very low ethanol blends here in Maryland but in summer, they're all at 10% and the big D does not like that stuff.
Lucky you can find it. The only place you can get it here is dock side at a marina.
