Default Little weight on her back

Wow what a difference from the 08. Took off for Maine today and its the smoothest towing vehicle I've driven. Through Boston traffic and bumps that rear suspension is so smooth and tight. Stops it very well. And the power, didn't even use tow haul till we hit the hills. 16.9 after 220 miles of 65-79.9 driving.

Mike, did you get a lot of hitch rattle? I tow a 6 x 12 utility trailer with ATVs and I had to buy a quit hitch adapter to keep the noise down. It just could be my trailer bouncing around.

Is your tongue weight enough
I had this on my old riide with a utility trailer on the back, turns out there was not enough tongue weight. We moved the axle back a few inches and this resolved it and stabilized the trailer a bit more on the highway as well

12 Hemi,

It seems a lot of hitch receivers today have a very loose fit. I made a "noise/bang/ excess play" device out of a strip of aluminum bar you find at HD or Lowes. I actually slide it in under the hitch with nothing on the ball, few taps of a hammer to get it on there and measure & cut it off to leave enough to curl around the receiver 2" opening and then "form" it with the hammer back under the receiver. It will stay there forever and takes up all the slack in the hitch to receiver. I don't have it on this DD yet but will as soon as I get home. Others have drilled and tapped the receiver and put a set screw 1/2" bolt to tighten up the slack. some have welded a little strip on the hitch and ground it down to make it a tight fit.
