will remote start still work when the check engine light is on? My light is on due to a cylinder misfire and the dealer said it would be 4-6 weeks til the necessary parts come in. They reset the light when they checked it, but i'm sure it will come back on before it gets fixed.

 

It will start up I believe, but it will just shut right down. Same thing happened to me although my check engine light after I remote started .. the truck just shuts off.
