Default Will a 285 series fit with the stock 18" rims?
I know about the rim width, but, is there enough clearance to run a 285 tire with stock backspace?

Your talking 13/16 of an inch should be fine.
Jeep SRT8 (same platform) are running 295's with a larger ET's (more backspace).
