I know its a pipe dream, but I still dont see the issue, If it were a problem selling an upscaled version of a similar vehicle for around $70k then GM would not sell the rebadged tahoe for $70K by calling it an Escalad, and Ford wouldnt sell the rebadged Expedition for $70K by calling it a Navigator, Nissan Armada - Infinity QX56, Toyota Sequoia- Land Cruiser Etc. etc... Its obviously a proven business model, Dodge just needs to get back with with the program. But if they dont, at least I know Ive got other options now. And as far as reliability, who keeps a vehicle for more than 3yrs anymore anyways, boring!

I agree with fish on this one.
He appearently bought his truck with the intent of doing a lot of hauling and towing, thus his compromises led to the Durango. If your intent is a daily driver with frequent (?) appearences in the Stop Light Drags then your compromises would reflect that priority.
Friends of mine have often complained about the same thing. I respond with "Do you want a Mack or a 'Vette? Whatever . . . just don't bad-mouth the Mack for not being a 'Vette, and visa versa. OK? Settled?"

This is seriously making me laugh. I have a vette and CTS-V for when I have the need for true speed. The DD is purely a daily driver and a means to get my azz to the ski slopes and pull a trailer now and then. I love my Rango and IMO it hauls a** for a 5000 pound beast. I don't even care about the 8 speed tranny because I hate the new headlights and tails so I wouldn't even buy a 14'.

Look into the Mercedes GL63. My friend had a R63 and that thing was incredibly fast.
