Funny you ask that... That was one of my initial thoughts after I installed it... Think it would flow even better with the roof wrapped. So that will be my next project...

IMO, I think maybe paint it black or wrap it black? Reason, is that your hood is really carbon fiber while your roof is not, unlike a BMW M3 competition..or other models etc. I think the black would flow just as well without pretending to have something you don't?

I love the look of the carbon fiber hood. I may end up going this route at some point. I think the carbon fiber theme would look awesome on a max steel r/t!

found this out about the hood recently, i still have one on order

The underside (it is a 2 piece bonded part) is fiberglass. It is finished in a black gel coat so that no paint is required. The hood ships ready to install!

We offer the option, as a special order, to make both pieces in carbon fiber but it adds about a $1,000 to the cost of the hood and other than the visual effect when the hood is up, there is no significant structural or weight advantage.

I have to repair my hood after a lunatic smashed it. Was thinking about replacing with this hood. Is there a better price available to forum members or is the $775 price as good as it gets?
