Hey everybody,


I have a 2013 SXT, I searched and searched, but I can't seem to find any other threads that give an idea on how to take the steering wheel apart. I want to get to the silver trim pieces around the cruise control and the vehicle menu buttons to paint them. I am not a fan of the chrome and silver on the inside so I have been slowly painting those pieces. Also, do I need to take the door panels off to get access to the trim pieces and interior door handles to remove them.

 

there are 2 10mm bolts that hold the air bag on and then some hex screws that hold the trim pieces on.

 

What part number is that wheel?

 

How was the install of that wheel, I contemplated it but it seemed a bit tricky to make sure it goes back on straight

took all of 30mins to install there are center markings to help out

 

Thanks for the info came apart real easy. Got them painted to match the exterior.
