Back from the dealer - LOW light flashing on the dash
So, my door was dinged in a parking lot and the guy left a note (nice). Insurance covered everything including my deductible. He was at fault so no obvious increase to my insurance.
Repair for a 3" scratch with a similar dent was $900. They painted both doors, re & re'd the mirror and had to re-badge the Citadel badge.
Crazy if you ask me but, when I picked the truck up, the LOW was flashing on the dash. I asked the service manager about it and he told me it was because the vehicle was sitting cold for a few days. It would reset apparently.
Not ever having used the AWD LOW, I never thought about it. After a few days, no reset so I googled it and it was the switch. Probably turned on when they cleaned the truck (again good).
Figured out that, since the truck wasn't put into Neutral, LOW was never on. I'm guessing I would have noticed the gearing diff if it was.
Just a word to those that get detailing done. Don't stress the potential drive damage. Low is not ON until the proper sequence is performed and (after testing myself) you WILL notice the difference right away.
