Youd have to rewire it

Dealer used a device called star-scan to activate drl's.
Anyone know what this is?

Diagnostics tool for Chrysler. Might want to ask the dealer if they can do something for ya. Or purchase and find a way to learn this toy.

Pretty sure the star scan will only activate the drl relay. To redirect what gets powered by the drl circuit, thered be some rewiring in order.

That's why some suggested to just go to the dealer and use the Witech/Starscan to activate the already built in DRL funcitonality in the software. This functionality will PWM your high beams with 50% or less of the power to have a DRL. There is NO need to mess with wires... why always so complicated if it is so easy....

If youd read the original post, he has drls, but he wants to change it to the fogs or running lights.

I took my 2012 Citadel with factory HID to the dealer. They enabled the DRL setting with the Star-scan and then it came up with an error citing a missing relay, so they disabled it again. Checked into it and you can't just add a relay and make it work. I'd love to enable factory DRL, but after multiple threads and hundreds of posts, the general conclusion is that it can't be done easily. The US Durangos just won't support DRL in a stock configuration or with minor mods. The Canadian ones are apparently wired differently and can be disabled, leaving many to assume that means that the US version can be enabled.
