my bad Wash, I was making a joke that steve caught on to.

A.I.S = *** in seat dyno
HT tuner= Hyper Tech Interceptor, plug and play type tuner. Some will argue not a tuner at all, but merely a placibo effect after it turns up the gas pedal signal by 20 percent. But that's why I stated not to turn this into a HT vs Trinity bash sesson. I like the HT which has improved my trucks overall AIS greatly. Plus I have CAI and full cat back exhaust which also helpts the Hemi breath.

so is the 5.7 ram intake with the switchable runners similar to the 6.4 apache intake? i was just reading about the 6.4 and read about that and it sounded pretty cool.

Would a 6.4 intake be compatible on a 5.7?

I noticed the 6.1 intakes are aluminum, so im guessing they only have 1 size runner?

Does a 6.1 intake fit a 5.7?

Sorry for all the questions, but im trying to learn about these new gen hemis, but i havent found much in the way of books or literature on them. I tracked down a factory service manual for the wk2 which includes the SRT variant, byt its like 163 bucks or something like that.

Other thsn the LX forums, what is a good source of info on the 5.7?

sorry for spelling...im phat fingering it on my phone

Here is some info that will help you out....http://www.allpar.com/mopar/SRT-V8.html
there are links on that page as well to explore.

The head design is slightly different with the switched runner length version of the 5.7-6.4 and intake runner bore would be off significantly from what I have read. The biggest problem for Durango use is the Throttle body faces UP and there isn't the clearance available to make it work. At this point it seems there are only 3 ways you can get the switchable runner intake on a Durango.

1. buy the SRT 6.4 engine and modify the hood as well as pretty much everything else.
2. buy the SRT 6.4 intake and spend thousands of dollars trying to port match it to a 5.7 and then spend thousands more trying to find someone who can tune the truck so that both the switchable runner servo engages at the right time/load and keeping the fuel trim stable so it actually runs with much more air volume than the 5.7 can use.
3. Put the ram 5.7 intake on the Durango anyways with the throttle body facing UP and cut a huge 3 inch hole in your hood with a K&N filter attached.....hahaha

Better to look at a blower for any more power or for you lucky guys out side of California there are some good Cam swaps.

Hey guys, I have a 2014 R/T on order and have been looking into tuners. Anyone use the Diablo InTune I1000-DCX yet?
