Trunk won't stay open.

Default Trunk won't stay open.

As soon as the trunk reaches fully open it immediatly closes. Help

It needs a software upgrade. Its quite simple except you need to go to dealer to have them do it.

Thank you for the quick response, do you think it could be the gas struts though? I think it's just simply gravity pulling the trunk down and not a software issue. Let me know please and thanks

If th emotor is lifting it up and it goes too high it will will reset and close. It could be the gas strut on opposite side of motorized one and that is real easy as well.

Just had mine Replaced, Strut on right side, Not power one, Under Warranty.
2011 Durango R/T 31,000 Miles

Default Trunk closing

Definetly gas strut right side, costs about $35 and takes two minutes to fit. I noticed mine (DD211) did this on cold days and less on hot days :-)

Strangely, had to change all of the rear lights and one HID lamp the same week, nearly exactly 2 years after I bought it....
