Be careful, I read somewhere that the ZF is extremely sensitive to the fluid and that it has issues with anything outside the exact spec.

I believe the ZF and the transfer case both take ATF+4 fluid and If I am not mistaken is synthetic. The differentials are another story
ATF+4 has been the best fluid out there for transmissions for years

haven't heard back from Ripp
but..
The 2011-2014 WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a great combination of American know-how. It combines the traditional and classic American Jeep mentality with a bit of European flair. The 5.7 does a good job power wise, but we can always use a little more. When tested on our dyno it produced 280 Rear Wheel HP (whp) which in our opinion is de-tuned since our 2009-2012 5.7 Dodge Ram produced more stock.

With our system we netted 430whp at just 5psi a 150whp gain! Yes that's right with one mod. Kits come complete with everything your installer needs to get through the very easy 5-6hour install.

Just had my 2011 HEMI trans and transfer case serviced and they were synthetic fluids.

well im over it...been considering this mod...
i just cant justify anywhere over $3K-ish topps...
just not worth it for me personally...
Since I will prob trade up to an SRT8 in a couple years anyway..

Too bad its not less $$ to SC tho, I woulda done it anyway even knowing I'd be parting out in a couple years..and I doubt I can write off the SC on my taxes lol (but I can write off the SRT8 !!)

best of luck to my old friend Ross/RIPP and anyone here who does go forward with it...

maybe in a few years we will meet at a stop light...
that would def be interesting...
a natty 6.4 vs a blown 5.7 ...!

but hopefully its in NJ and not SI, or someone will prob lose a wheel and tire on a pothole before the 1/4 mile marker ( haaahaa)

Same here. Would love the power but, a bit pricey! $3k and I'd be all over that thing!

Ditto, $5K installed would be do-able even!

Yea, supercharging it is great in theory, but trust me it, opens a bag of fun. I sold my Kenny Bell supercharged 2004 Saleen convertible last Spring. It was over 600rwhp and I was constatly working on the next-weakest-link. Thank God it wasn't my daily driver or I would have been bumming rides A LOT. You start innocent enough by adding the s/c. Then you have to feed the beast, so you have to do injectors (yea, did it at the same time). Then you figure out that you need a bigger intercooler. Then you go lean, so you end up re-working the fuel system (upgrade pumps, run larger fuel line, etc.). Then you realize that your clutch set-up wasn't designed for over 500ftlb's of torque...etc. You get the picture. I think the D's do pretty good with the Hypertech (Diablo, whatever) and CAI. If you are going to turn your D into a weekend warrior, go for it. Otherwise, be happy with the decent power and reliability. I may do something with the exhaust, but not sure that will really buy much. I, personally, am going to leave it alone now. Pretty happy...
