If you were to be in an accident and "rear-ended", do you feel that there is any risk of the liability shifting to you because of modified tail lights? I only ask this because I want to do it and am slightly concerned that I'm going to hit the tipping point that starts racking up tickets or opens up liability.

I hate it when the brakes can't be seen through the tint in daylight and yes it can put the tinted brake light owner in the wrong if rear ended.

I can see if its a full blacked out lens but with a slight tint your fine... look at cars and trucks across the board doing it on new models. The Mustang,Explorer and Lexus F sport line has them on all models to name a few!

Here is another picture of the rear .. you can easily see the red .. and when you press the brake light .. they are super bright .. even with the lights on ... they are very noticeable.

Crankish is on the left, all he had was the inner part of the lights painted. The red was left alone, I had the opposite done.
