Default Work in progress

A work in Progess

My Son and I put'em on today after getting home from the cottage/summer place.

Weather finally above 50 F, although it was snowing this weekend where we visited (Sudbury, On)

Center caps are soaking in the sink, Gorilia Black lugs .

I wasn't impressed with the fitment of the rear MPG caliper covers so I took them off.

Needs a wash and some tire black/wet. The picture doesn't doesn't do it any justice.

Napper 505 getting there

napper-those wheels look great. Man, you had some winter.....time for some "spring love", ha ha. Amazing what a little tire black and wax will do.

Yep that what I got sitting in the garage, too. Getting new Michelins in June and the dealer is charging me $220 to mount, replace TPMS and recalibrate the speed-o for the 20-inch wheel. I can get the TPMS off eBay for about $45/set.

I had a problem with the rear caliper covers from MPG as well. Couldn't find a fix.

Mainly the rear driver's side. Has a lot of "play". Like the cover is too long and pushes the brackets away from the edges of the caliper itself. If you push it flush on one side this makes the other side bracket barely hang on.

This is a big deal in my opinion as this could cause the thing to come off and at the very least destroy itself on its way out or worse, take out a brake line in the process.

They look good but this fitment is really sub par.

re: mpg covers

I encountered a similar issue with the rear clips. They tended wander while trying to tighten the nuts.

I might elongate/slot the holes on the rear covers to see if this helps the issue. I think I will also replace the Nuts(soft) and washers(larger Dia.) or use a locknut.

This should really be remedied by the manufacturer.

Anybody have a contact with MPG?

Silly question: why not just save the money and paint the calipers?

I wonder if they put different size calipers on the 14 because they fit perfect on the 13 calipers.
Maybe they gave you an 8 speed and std Brake caliper size has been reduced.
I have the HD Brake option on my 13
