I have 2012 Durango R/T with the Mopar air intake but It still a sluggish when I try to have a lil fun from a complete stop... Any suggestions on how to get over the hump?
I would agree, a tune will definitely help...and possibly getting a ported TB while you're at it. Do you have any exhaust mod's? A free flowing exhaust is key to letting your engine breathe and perform the best.
You won't notice much from adding an intake or exhaust. Getting rolling is hamstrung by the computer, which "manages" torque from a start. The quick upshifting also hurts acceleration. Get a Diablo tuner (the hemifever tune isn't necessary but nice) and the torque management is almost gone. Program the high octane "Diablo" tune, change to higher rpm upshifts and enjoy a "new" vehicle. As a bonus, my mpg went from 20 to 22 cruising at 70 mph with the "Diablo" tune.

Check out service bulletin 21-006-13 in the first link below. On mine, I'd noticed an issue where I am creeping along trying to merge into traffic and unbeknownst to me it would upshift to 2nd at less than 5 MPH. Then when there was an opening, I would step on it....and nothing. So I would really stomp it because at that point I was in the lane with cars closing, it would downshift and really tear out. My wife was usually displeased with that, even if I tried to explain. After this TSB, I notice this much less, but still has done it occasionally. The second link lists all of the TSB's, some of which apply to the 2012 Durango.
Another thought; push the tow/haul button. It delays upshifts, and also disables ECO mode. I suspect it will not go into overdrive either. It improves performance, and does not hurt anything but mileage. Unfortunately, it resets to off every time you start the D.
