Default Bug/Hood Deflector

Has anyone done some research into hood protectors for the 'D'? I recently took a long trip on the highway and ended up with a rock hitting the front edge of my hood. Since the hood is aluminum it was easily "dinged". I thought a hood protector might avoid this in the future but wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on putting one on as well as want brand looks best. As far as the "ding" it was near an access hole and the dent guy was able to make the repair.
