Default 2012 Dodge Durango SXT (Bluetooth issue)

Just purchased my first Dodge product ever,in buying my wife her 2012 Dodge Durango SXT Express. The SUV is awesome, love the features it offers, as well as the aggressive look of it. My issue is that our cell phones are paired with the trucks Bluetooth and it allows us to make/pick up calls, but the person on the other end of the phone cannot hear when we speak, as if the mute button was on or something when it is not. It also does not recognize commands when spoken, so I am leaning toward a mic issue or something to this effect?
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what was the issue or fix? I am still under warranty for a long time, so just wanted to have an idea of what I am looking for or what I should have the dealer look for. Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

It could be a software issue. The dealer can verify if the system has the latest software update for the uconnect/radio.
