Default 2014 r/t front collision warning

Just an fyi guys who have this. Had a car turning yesteday and I slowed down as it was making the turn, but dam warning system thoyght I wasnt slowing enough and just slammed on my breaks. Ehhhh. F THAT, almost shat myself and kids were wondering what happened too. That button will remain in the OFF positon. I dont mind it beeping and telling me to BRAKE, but not full on cause a dam accident in prcoess or risk of being rear ended!!

First, I hope, of FEW major complaints on my D!!

Its a front warning system Craig, part of a package on the 14s, there is a laser/camera of some sort bottom front of bumber, allot of vehicles have this system now as an added option man. Hope you are good, its been a while!!

Change it from "far" to "near"

From the dodge site:
FORWARD COLLISION WARNING WITH CRASH MITIGATION

The available Forward Collision Warning System+ uses radar sensors to detect when your vehicle may be approaching another vehicle too quickly. When the system detects a potentially hazardous situation, it alerts you by sounding a chime and displaying a visual message in the instrument panel and may apply a brake jerk to warn the driver of a potential collision so the driver can respond to the situation.

JERK is right, but hey at least I know now, so maybe first Jerk let me know the sob works

I appreciate the safety today's automakers are trying to incorporate in vehicles, but I'm not sure about "nannies" in the car. A friend of mine was nearly killed in his Mercedes SUV when it decided to stop (to avoid nothing) on the interstate in 75 mph traffic. I'll probably stop driving when cars are only available with drive by wire steering LOL.
