Default Strange Issue

Guys so as of late I have been utilizing the remote start feature as the weather has been quite cold around here. I am having in issue with both the keyless unlock and driver seat setting.

1. I remote start the vehicle
2. Approach the vehicle and "touch" the door handle to unlock. The vehicle does not unlock. I need to actually press the unlock on the FOB to open the door.
3. As soon as I press the unlock on the FOB the driver side seat goes into a non-preset configuration.
4. I have also lost my driver seat presets a few times.

Everything was working fine up until a few days ago. Any ideas? Could it be the FOB battery?

Thanks

Cool

Did you get a "Low Key Battery" warning in the EVIC? If not then it is not likely to be the key battery. Dealer.

I would change out the fob batteries first. I'd be surprised if the batteries were already low on a 2014 model, however its a cheap item to cross of the list.

I changed out the fob batteries on my 2011 when I bought it last month. I did not get any 'low battery' warnings. but I was getting a 'key not present' intermittently when I would try to start and did get one or two times when the door would not automatically unlock when I touched it.

I changed the fob batteries and all was good.

I recently changed battery in my key FOB after it failed to work. No message indicating low battery as I had received a couple years ago. New key battery and all is good.

I have also found that putting the key fob in the same pocket as my I-Phone sometimes screws it up, I would suspect it could happen with any type of smart phone.

I received a call from the dealership and they stated that RF Module has gone bad. They will be getting a new one in tomorrow and should have everything done tomorrow afternoon. They will have to reprogram the keys. Crossing my fingers this resolves the problem. Just reinforces my decision to have bought the Lifetime Care as I plan to keep the Durango till it dies on me!
