Congrats on the DD!!

My '12 Crew has the OEM running boards and we love 'em. At first my wife (5'2") darn near gave herself a hernia every time she got into the truck but she didn't want to spend the money. I ignored her protests and dropped about $800 at the local Dodge store to have them installed. Now she sees the value in my decision . . . .
AS for the CAI, well, I was going to but everything I read said, at best, CAI gives border-line minimal improvement on MPG or torque, but that it did make the engine bay noisier, which was about fourth on my list of expected results. Thus no CAI. Some guys here swear by them, others don't. Personal preference.
Go to the "For sale" section of this web site for used goodies for the DD -- like cooler wheels.

wash man, whats a catch can? the only reference I have for that is when the cooling system burps and some coolant goes overboard. obviously you're not referring to that.

Do a forum search, there are many threads that discuss and have pics. This is my first Hemi, so it was a new concept to me. It is a can that you plumb in line with the pcv valve that catches oil that gets vaporized and keeps it from going into the throttle body to gum it up and/or get mixed with the injected fuel. (other forum members feel free to elaborate or correct me if needed)
I check mine every 2,000 miles and it usually has about 2 ounces of oil in it.

Most bought theirs through Billet technology like me. But the poster that suggested hanging loose for others to put stuff up for sale as they make changes or trade in their Durango is right. I bought my Volant from another member for a large discount off of new.

ok so... we have CAI, (maybe)am looking at K&N setup. A 2.5 " lift.. looks sweet! with that i will be able to have some 18" wheels and BFG A/T KO2's to use for winter. I will have to get steps for the step mom hah pun not intended but what the hell. A catch can will definitely go on the list, am i missing anything? is the factory exhaust really that bad? have seen a few that have changed theirs out here in the forums. She already barks when i step on it.
