Default Dog Cage in the Durango?

Has anyone put a dog cage in the back of the Durango?

Looking to maybe get a Durango RT or Citadel and I do have a quite large Golden Retriever.

Herre in Sweden you basicly have to have the dog in a cage in the car.

Does it work well?

Any problems?

Some pics perhaps?

I travel with two medium sized soft crates and two bicycles. All seats are down. It works fine.

Just be forewarned that the carpet is like velcro for dog hair. I have a liner but it still embeds itself into the exposed wheel well areas.

Does the dog need to be in a cage or can a "dog barrier" be used? I used a tubular barrier seen here "http://www.autoanything.com/pet-travel/69A5164A0A0.aspx" that works quite well...it is expandable, easy to put in/take out and keeps the dogs safe and constrained to the rear of the cargo area even with seats down....but I typically use it with the second row seats up.

I have a short (2-3 feet ?)chain on the rear tie-down and my 100-pound Belgian Malinois has ample room with the 2nd row seats down. With the 2nd row seats up he would be very uncomfortable.
