The SSV Durango is a lot different than a civilian Durango... Its geared to Police/Fire/EMS work with a bulkier electrical system and numerous cabling runs throughout the vehicle making up-fitting (the installation of emergency equipment) easier...

 

And surplus SSVs will be available to the motoring public via surplus purchase and auctions, just like all other police models that aren't directly sold to the public.
